This is a charcoal portrait I did of my friend's mum. Her name was Wendy Herd. She was known to my girlfriend and me as Mother H as we would often stay at hers when on the road. It was home from home. Mother H passed away far too early from cancer. We had some great times and happy memories over many years. Miss her loads. Especially our red wine and Question Time evenings when we would put the world properly to rights!

Her son, my mate Matt, sent me a heartfelt message when he saw this finished portrait (you can read on my site).
